Kim Clement Biography, Prophecies, Quotes, Beliefs and Facts

Kim Clement, born September 30, 1956 in South Africa, is a self professed "prophet for the modern era" that has taken his message to "schools and colleges, churches and synagogues, alleyways and prison cells." Kim married Jane Elizabeth Barnes in 1978. They have five children together. Kim now resides in Southern California with his family and is pioneering a new "prophetic outreach".

Kim Clement Biography

Kim Clement was born in Uitenhage South Africa in 1956. Kim remembers his parents telling him he would be a classical pianist. His first music lessons were at the age of five. Clement describes his family as nominal "Christians" who believed there was a God; they did not go to church except for an occasional wedding or funeral and celebrating Christmas. They did not read the Bible or pray as a family.

At the age of nine, Kim took a serious fall when his parents weren't home and was rushed to the hospital. He had stopped breathing when he fell, and had severely damaged his hip (excerpt from book, "The Sound of His Voice" p. 12) He explains: One day, an Anglican minister, wearing his clerical collar, came into my hospital room. He walked over to my bed and asked, "Would you like me to pray with you?" "No," I instinctively responded, "I don't want any prayer." Then he looked me straight in the eye and said something that sounded quite unusual to me. "Jesus still walks the streets today, and one day you are going to need Him. If you call on Him, He'll walk over to you, and He will touch you." I didn't respond to his words, and he quietly left the room.

At about ten years old, his mother had enrolled him in the Trinity College of London. He dreamed of being a great musician and performing in concerts around the world, practicing two and three hours a day, to perfect his skills in classical music.

At eleven he quit classical music and his attention turned to jazz and then rock. For the next several years he was totally engrossed in rock and roll and played in rock bands, usually with musicians much older than himself. During this time, he describes himself as being unruly and rebellious. He hated school, and was expelled from three different schools. He began drinking and using drugs, and by the age of seventeen, he had immersed himself in the drug and rock scene of the seventies and became addicted to heroin.

But one fateful night in 1974 changed the course of his life forever. He was in a bar, in the bathroom, overdosing on heroine when he was robbed and stabbed. He stumbled onto the street and fell into a ditch, feeling himself dying as he cried out the name of "Jesus". Just as he began to feel life leaving him, a hand reached out and lifted him from death. The hand belonged to a self professed Christian man who shared the message of Christ with Kim. At the time Clement was a rock musician who performed in bars and clubs, after this incident he claims to have abandoned his music career and "start a new life." The day Kim was baptized, he received an "audible word from the Lord" as he came up out of the water that he was called to be a minister of the gospel.

Clement was uneducated because of his numerous expulsions from different schools and the only education he claims to have had was in music where he attended the Trinity College of London. He was eager to play music for the Lord because of his long hair appearance and his previous lifestyle, he was misunderstood and not accepted.

He twice unsuccessfully tried to enter different Bible Colleges. He was finally accepted into a home study Bible course through Oral Roberts University. After writing the university explaining his situation and putting a few dollars in the envelope a few weeks later he received a surprise at his door, boxes of books from Oral Roberts. He read them over and over.

Between the years 1973-76 Clement attended and served in what he calls a "full gospel church." In 1976 Clement was drafted into the South African army to fight in its war with Cuba in Angola. After 12 months of service Clement went into full time ministry in 1977 as a music director and youth "pastor" for a Pentecostal Protestant Church. He was only there about a year then moved to Durban, Natal and joined the "Full Gospel Church of God" as an assistant "Pastor". In December of 1978 Clement married his girl friend Jane and continued serving in different positions at his Church until 1983. He believed God was calling him to be a missionary to the United States so he packed up his family and moved to America.

Kim Clement Admits to False Prophecies

Known as the "singing prophet," Kim Clement is a self-proclaimed prophet of God who sings "new revelations" from God.

In the following paragraphs from an article titled, "Special Message," note that Kim Clement's admission to being a false prophet:

"The Bible says we prophesy in part and when I prophesy, I prophesy what I hear. "Kim, are you ever wrong?" Yes I am… Some of my prophet compatriots have taken it upon themselves to tear this apart and say "well he wasn't that correct, he said many things that didn't come to pass." So did you. I made mistakes and so did you." [June 24, 2010, http://kimclementvault.com/prophecyread.asp?num=410]

Kim Clement has admitted to being a false prophet. He is to be avoided at all costs, unless he converts.

What are the biblical tests for a prophet? They are in God's Word: Deuteronomy 18:21-22 says, "You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?" If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him." Did Kim Clement ever claim that something would happen when it did not? Yes—by his own admission.

Further, Deuteronomy 13:1-3 says that "if a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, 'Let us follow other gods' (gods you have not known) 'and let us worship them,' you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul." Did Kim Clement preach other doctrines inspired by other gods (demons). Yes. Kim Clement is sadly a non-Catholic, a Protestant.

Galatians 1:6-7 says that people may be "turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all . . . trying to pervert the gospel of Christ." And he pronounced a curse upon them for doing so. In Romans 1:16 Paul tells us that the gospel is "the power of God unto salvation" - that's pretty important.

Kim Clement is Outside the Church of Christ

Ephesians 4:4-5 "One body and one Spirit; as you are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism."

It is a fact of history, scripture and tradition that Our Lord Jesus Christ founded His universal Church (the Catholic Church) upon St. Peter.

Matthew 16:18-19 "And I say to thee: That thou art Peter: and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven."

The Catholic Church and Faith is the only Christianity that begun at the year of 33 A.D. and is the only original and visible Church from the time of Christ. The Catholic Church compiled the Bible and spread Christianity all over the world, and according to protestants, Christ used a false church to spread his words all over the world for 1500 years? This, obviously, is ridiculous to any good willed person.

Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). This means that his Church will never be destroyed and will never fall away from him. His Church will survive until his return, it means that the Church will, until the end of time, remain essentially what she is. One must belong to the one true universal Church Jesus Christ established to be Saved, for he who refuses to hear the Church is like the heathen and publican (Matthew 18:17).

Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself. This is unequaled by any institution in history.

In this sad instance of human history, there are now approximately 25,000 Protestant sects which all contradict each other on crucial doctrinal points. This proves to any good willed person that at least 24,999 sects must be wrong if we follow simple logic. Protestantism was unheard of even to the founders of it since they all started as Catholics which then apostatized. True Christianity started at 33 A.D., not in the 16th Century or later.

2 Peter 2:1 "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction."

Following Martin Luther's excommunication from the Catholic Church in 1520, which marked the beginning of the Protestant movement, over 20,000 different denominations have been created in about 500 years. In 1980, David A. Barrett's World Christian Encyclopedia (Oxford University Press) gave the number of different denominations as 20,780. He projected that there would be 22,190 denominations by 1985.

This would mean that there are approximately 25,000 (or possibly 30,000) different denominations today. Even if, for the sake of argument, one were to take a conservative estimate, and give the number as only 15,000 different denominations, this equates to more than one new sect having been created every two weeks.

When we consider the fact that the original founders of Protestantism didn't even agree with each other on major points of doctrine, such denominational chaos shouldn't be a surprise. Protestantism is man-made religion, in which each person ultimately determines for himself what he thinks the Bible teaches. Martin Luther (the initiator of Protestantism) condemned the doctrinal views of John Calvin and Huldrych Zwingli, two other leading Protestant figures. They all claimed to follow the Bible.

Basically all of these thousands of non-Catholics sects purport to be Christian and claim to follow the Bible, even though they disagree with each other on crucial doctrinal matters, such as: the precise nature of justification; whether human works and sins are a part of salvation; whether men have free will; predestination; whether infants need baptism for salvation; what Communion is; whether it's necessary to confess to the Lord; which books of the New Testament apply to us today; the structure of the Church's hierarchy; the role of bishops and ministers; the Sabbath; the role of women in church; etc. ad nauseam. Most of these groups even claim that the individual "Christian" will be led by the Holy Spirit when privately reading the Bible. The disunity of these sects constitutes an irrefutable proof that their doctrine is not of the Spirit of Truth; and that their principle of operation (i.e., Scripture alone apart from the Church and Tradition) is not the doctrine of the Bible and the Apostles.

Pope Leo XII, Ubi Primum (# 14), May 5, 1824: " It is impossible for the most true God, who is Truth itself, the best, the wisest Provider, and the Rewarder of good men, to approve all sects who profess false teachings which are often inconsistent with one another and contradictory, and to confer eternal rewards on their members… by divine faith we hold one Lord, one faith, one baptismThis is why we profess that there is no salvation outside the Church."
