Paula White Biography, Benny Hinn, Divorce, Quotes, Beliefs and Facts
She was born Paula Michelle Furr in Tupelo, Mississippi. In her 1998 semiautobiography, she details an early life of country clubs and privilege. Her parents' marriage, she said, began to unravel when she was 5, with her mother fleeing to Memphis.
Her father followed with an ultimatum: Give him Paula or he would kill himself. White's mother refused, and later that night Donald Furr wrapped his car around a tree, ending his life, White says.
Her mother, Myra Joanelle Furr, sought refuge in alcohol. While Furr worked, White was looked after by caregivers, whom she said sexually and physically abused her for seven years.
White says she found God when she was 18 and living in Maryland. A stranger saw that she was broken and offered her the "Christian plan of salvation".
At the time, White was a new mother to a baby she had out of wedlock. She had a brief marriage with the baby's father, a member of a rock band. Eventually, she wound up at a local church sweeping floors and teaching Sunday school. That's where she met a young visiting preacher. Randy White, a recently "divorced" husband, was pudgy and not her type, she says, but the two grew in love and "married" in 1990.
The couple moved to Tampa in 1990 and soon after started "South Tampa Christian Center". They renamed it "Without Walls" in 1997 and set about building one of the fastest-growing congregations in the nation.
It wasn't long before White's popularity began to eclipse her husband's. Though they lead the church together, she is sought after and travels around the country preaching.
White has been dubbed a prosperity preacher, a proponent of the name-it and claim-it gospel, which purports that people can receive financial, emotional and spiritual blessings if they donate. That message and her penchant for designer clothing and flashy cars have added to the cacophony of criticism.
White drives a Mercedes-Benz and flies around the country in a private jet. She lives in a $2.1-million mansion on Tampa's Bayshore Boulevard and has a Fifth Avenue condo in Trump Tower in New York City.

On a TV show called The Seven Places Jesus Shed His Blood, "pastor" Larry Huch and Paula White made some astonishing statements.
Jesus is not the only begotten Son of God
Paula White: "Jesus is our high Priest and He is the first of many brethren."
Larry Huch: "... Say that again because they don't get it. Jesus is not the only begotten Son of God. He is not. I am a Son of God."
Paula White: "He is the First fruit."
Larry Huch: "He is the First fruit. He's the first born of many."
According to the Bible, Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16). Christians are sons of God, but we're not begotten, we're adopted.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
Larry Huch: "Jesus said don't pray to me. [Paula makes a noise of agreement.] I'll not go to the Father for you. You go to the Father because that curtain is open and my blood has a tone for you."
Incredible! Did he really not know that Jesus never said such a thing? Jesus never said we shouldn't pray to him or that He won't go to the Father for us.
"I [Jesus] will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it." (John 14:13-14; see also 15:16; 16:23-24, 26)
Larry Huch was obviously trying to make a point about Jesus and the Father but lied and taught heresy and false doctrine as he went along. Perhaps he was genuinely mistaken and didn't mean what he actually said. One thing is sure though, he is a heretic, since he is a Protestant and a non-Catholic. One must not use false examples about others and apply that false example or position on someone else that he has never said or meant. Doing so is to slander and to lie about that person. All can make mistakes of course, but doing such obvious mistakes is outrageous.
A person that continuously make such outrageous mistakes even after admonitions cannot be considered but by bad will and as a possible willful liar and mortal sinner. If a situation is not so certain and there are genuine reasons for mistaking what someone else has said or meant, then that is of course a more excusable act. One must always be very careful when talking about others and be very careful about not to apply a false position on them.
Larry Huch: "We've never missed our tithes. I have never missed a tithe. Never made a pledge and didn't pay it. Always gave, but never saw prosperity until i learned the third place that Jesus shed his blood: to break the curse of poverty.
Paula White: "And I want to hit that because poverty is a curse. And people have to understand this so much more..."
Poverty is not a curse. Jesus said:
"Looking at his disciples, he said: 'Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.'" (Luke 6:20)
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)
Haydock Commentary explains Luke 6:20:
"Ver. 20. St. Matthew (v. 3. 10.) mentions eight beatitudes, St. Luke only four; but St. Luke only gives an abridgment in this place of the discourse, which St. Matthew gives more at length. We are also to remark, that in these four the whole eight are comprised, and that both evangelists place poverty in the first place, because it is the first in rank, and, as it were, the parent of the other virtues; for he who hath forsaken earthly possessions, deserves heavenly ones. Neither can any man reasonably expect eternal life, who is not willing to forsake all in affection, and in effect also, if called upon for the love of Jesus Christ. (St. Ambrose) … Blessed, therefore, are the poor, who bear poverty for the sake of Christ: he himself hath already trodden the path before us, and taught us by his example that it leads to honour and enjoyment. (St. Cyril in St. Thomas Aquinas)"
Haydock Commentary explains Matthew 5:3:
"Ver. 3. The poor in spirit; which, according to the common exposition, signifies the humble of mind and heart. Yet some understand it of such as are truly in poverty and want, and who bear their indigent condition with patience and resignation. (Witham) --- That is, the humble; and they whose spirit is not set upon riches. (Challoner)"
Larry Huch: "The word Eden means a place of voluptuous living. God wants his children living voluptuously. I got no problem with a basketball prayer driving a Rolls-Royce. I got no problem with a baseball player flying in an airplane.
Paula White: "We expect that."
Larry Huch: "We expect that. Why cant a child of God have that?"
First, Eden was not a place of fleshly sensual living, but a place of desiring and loving God. It was a place first and foremost of spiritual pleasure, not of fleshly pleasure.
On Adam and Eve before the fall: "but I alone was all their good and pleasure and perfect delight." (St. Bridget's Revelations, Book 1, Chapter 26)
The meaning of the above isn't that a person couldn't delight in or feel pleasure from God anymore, but rather that before the fall, God was the only delight and pleasure man ever felt and desired. After the fall, God had to compete for man's love with human concupiscence and fleshly lusts. God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5), and he wants us to love and desire Him above everything else.
"He that loveth father or mother more than me [Jesus], is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me." (Matthew 10:37)
Second, it is not always God's will to give prosperity, or for example, healing. Both the Scriptures and experience teach that God may use afflictions and hardships for refining, correcting, and chastening (Hebrews 12:3-11; Job 23:10). God's Word teaches that He can heal anyone and make anyone rich, anytime, but that He does not heal everyone or make everyone prosper, every time. Paul learned this truth when God explained why his thrice repeated prayer for personal healing was not granted (2 Corinthians 12:1-10); and, also, like when he had suffered the loss of all things, and counted all but dung to win Christ (Philippians 3:8). When we pray for prosperity or healing for ourselves or others, we must never forget that such healing or prosperity is always God's prerogative based upon what He knows is best for each of His children, not upon "demanding" or "claiming" such prosperity or healing as do the Charismatics.
Third, Paula White and Larry Huch, and all other prosperity preachers, should seriously consider the following bible verses.
Colossians 3:1-4 "Therefore, if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above; where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God: Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth. For you are dead; and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory."
1 Timothy 6:3-10 "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that doctrine which is according to godliness, He is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words; from which arise envies, contentions, blasphemies, evil suspicions, conflicts of men corrupted in mind, and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world: and certainly we can carry nothing out. But having food, and wherewith to be covered, with these we are content. For they that will become rich, fall into temptation, and into the snare of the devil, and into many unprofitable and hurtful desires, which drown men into destruction and perdition. For the desire of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting have erred from the faith, and have entangled themselves in many sorrows."
Haydock commentary explains 1 Timothy 6:3-10:
"Ver. 5. Supposing gain to be piety. The sense is the same, that they make a shew of piety only for gain-sake. (Witham)
"Ver. 6. But piety with sufficiency, or when a man hath what is sufficient to support his necessities, is certainly great gain, is accompanied with the most valuable advantages, the treasure of a good conscience, peace of mind, the grace of God, and hereafter a recompense of eternal glory. (Witham) --- That man is certainly rich, however small his possession, if he desire nothing more below, and aspires eagerly after that blessing above, which alone can fill his heart. Mediocrity is an enviable state; it frees us from the dangers of riches, and from the temptations of extreme poverty: with this lot let us be content. Why should we fix our hearts on the fleeting possessions of the day: we had not them yesterday, and to-morrow they will not be ours; for as we were born so we must die.
"Ver. 9. For they who wish to become rich. He does not say, as St. Chrysostom observes, they who are rich; as persons may be rich, and make good use of their riches to God's honour, and the good of others. But such as would be rich, who seek riches, and have their heart and affections upon riches, fall into various temptations of injustice, of pride, and vanity, into hurtful lusts, which drown and plunge men into perdition, &c. (Witham)
"Ver. 10. The root of all evils is covetousness, or the love of money, as it is in the Greek; a covetous man being ready to sacrifice his soul for money. (Witham) --- This truth is verified and illustrated by the example of Judas, in the gospel; of Ananias and Saphira, in the Acts; of Demas, mentioned by St. Paul in his second epistle to Timothy; and many others, who have made shipwreck of their faith through eagerness to gain riches. Whoever seeks visible and terrestrial goods with great avidity, cannot be supposed to retain much faith in things that are celestial and invisible. He quits a future real and substantial good to seek for a delusive happiness that presents itself, but which will prove a source of present and future evils."
And lastly, I will end this section by quoting a chapter from St. Bridget's revelations.
Jesus speaking to St. Bridget: "… There are three kinds of people who serve me in this world: The first are those who believe me to be God, the Creator and giver of all things and mighty ruler over everything. They serve me with the intention of gaining honor and worldly things, but the things of heaven are considered as nothing to them so that they would gladly do without it if they, instead, could gain the perishable and present things. According to their desire, worldly pleasure falls to them in everything and so they lose the eternal things, but I recompense them with worldly benefits for all the good things they have done for my sake right down to the last farthing and the very last moment.
"The second are those who believe me to be God almighty and a strict judge, and these serve me because of fear of punishment but not out of love for the heavenly glory. If they were not afraid of suffering, they would not serve me.
"The third are those who believe me to be the Creator of all things and true God and who believe me to be just and merciful. These do not serve me because of any fear of punishment but because of divine love and charity. Rather, they would prefer and endure every punishment, if they could bear it, than to even once provoke me to wrath. These truly deserve to be heard in their prayers, for their will is according to my will.
"But the ones who belong to the first kind shall never escape from the place of punishment and torment or get to see my face. The ones who belong to the second kind shall not be punished and tormented as much, but will still be unable to see my face, unless he corrects his fear through penitence and amendment." (St. Bridget's Revelations, Book 1, Chapter 14)
Paula White's "Divorces" and "Remarriage"
White's first marriage was as a teenager to the father of her son. In 1984, while living in Maryland with her newborn baby, she was introduced to the gospel and became a "Christian". Her marriage ended soon after.
In 1989 she met Randy White. Randy was recovering from the "divorce" of his first marriage and was in the early stages of reviving his career as a "preacher" and "evangelist". They met while he was visiting the church where White volunteered as a janitor. They became friends and dated for several months as they labored together in "ministry" projects. Less than a year after meeting, Randy "proposed" during a tour to Israel and she accepted. Shortly thereafter they moved from Maryland to Tampa, Florida.
However since both Paula and Randy White was already validly married before their so-called "marriage," they both committed adultery (unless both of their first spouses died).
Remarriage is never in the will of God. A valid Christian marriage cannot be dissolved by any human power or for any cause whatever except death!
It is important to remember Malachi 2:16: "I hate divorce, says the LORD God of Israel." According to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment. "So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate" (Matthew 19:6).
Matthew 19:9: "And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery."
Except it be: In the case of fornication, that is, of adultery, the wife may be put away. i.e., separation (not divorce): but even then the husband cannot marry another as long as the wife is living.
However, on August 23, 2007, White announced to their congregation that she and Randy would "divorce". Randy stated from the pulpit of Without Walls International Church: "We have a very difficult announcement to make tonight before Tim Storey preaches. And that is that we are going through a divorce. It is the most difficult decision that I have had to make in my entire life and I come to you tonight to first let you know that I take full responsibility for a failed marriage." According to "The Christian Post", White says the "divorce" was amicable and they remain friends.
Paula White, Senior "Pastor" of Without Walls International "Church"
White claims on her website that she received a vision of her future as a "preacher" shortly after she gave her life to God.
"Paula White, Senior Pastor of Without Walls International Church in Tampa, Florida, is a celebrated author and teacher... and spirit-led preacher of God's Word... at the age of 18, Paula was introduced to the Bible, and her life began to transform: soon after, she gave her life to God, and received a vision that she was to preach the gospel of Christ around the world." The Bible teaches that women may not function in a teaching, authority role over men (1 Tim. 2:12ff; 1 Cor. 14:34-35). The role of a public woman spiritual teacher, pastor, priest, bishop, deacon, minister etc. over man is not the place of a woman. This fact alone demonstrates that she is not biblical.
Not that a woman's "ordination" to an ecclesiastical office ever would be valid anyway, even if they use a valid rite of ordination. That is because God has ordained that only men may serve in ecclesiastical offices—and is why the Catholic Church consider such "ordinations" invalid.
God has ordained that only men are to serve in positions of spiritual teaching authority in the church. Men are to set the example in spiritual leadership—in their lives and through their words. Women are to take a less authoritative role. Women are encouraged to help other women (Titus 2:3-5). The Bible also does not restrict women from teaching children.
Based on the fact that Paula White is a non-Catholic, protestant heretic that contradicts the Bible on several core issues, one can only assume that she received her vision not from God, but from the devil. It was not Our Lord Jesus telling her to preach the "Gospel of Christ" around the world, because she has not done so. Rather, it was another evil spirit telling her to preach a false gospel of unbiblical, soul damning, protestant heresy around the world, for that she has done, sadly.
